A Short Film Festival

Event

2014 Short Film Festival: Somebody's Reality

Please Hold Magazine is proud to present its inaugural short film festival in St. Louis, Missouri: Somebody's Reality. Featuring 27 videos from around the world, this film festival brings together the local and the international, the emerging and the established, the students, the teachers, and the trailblazers to celebrate the universality of art.

Prevalent themes addressed in the films include social pressures and perceptions, internal and external struggles, dreams, and memory. The two-hour event took viewers through dozens of worlds and ideas that all come together to create Somebody's Reality.

The showcase took place in Bar Italia's event space "Luna" in the Central West End in St. Louis, Missouri on August 30, 2014. Bar Italia provided free bruschetta, while Bazaarboy provided drink tickets to everyone who came. We had more guests than we had hoped for, and had to bring in extra chairs to accommodate! The first 20 guests who arrived received a wristband made of vintage film. Everyone received a program printed by local print shop Ink Spot. It was a successful inaugural event for us, and we could not be more pleased with how the evening turned out!
