Release Party: Glitch

Please Hold Magazine hosted a celebration for the release of the fall 2015 issue "Glitch" 8-10pm CST on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. The event took place at Upstairs Lounge on South Grand in St. Louis. During the party, guests had the opportunity to play a computer game featured in the issue. There were also video installations and disc jockeying by DJ Past Pleasures.

Release Party: Games


Please Hold hosted a party to celebrate the release of the summer 2015 issue "Games" 7-9pm CST on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. The event took place in the basement-level game room at Mangia Italiano on South Grand in St. Louis. Guests were invited to take printables from the issue and play games from the issue on their phones during the party. Attendees enjoyed the use of the two pool tables, arcade games Donkey Kong and Pinball, and a private bar. 

Special thanks to Mara Cruvant, Andy Kahn, and Josh Horton for their support prior to and during the event, and to Mangia Italiano for donating the space.

Release Party: Feminine Shame

Please Hold Magazine hoted a release event for the Spring 2015 issue Feminine Shame at ArtBarSTL on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2015. The event featured projections of the video work from the issue at the front and back of the event space and readings by Mara Cruvant, Mikkel Snyder, Sara Duff, and Lauren O'Donnell. Photography by Jarred Gastreich.

Release Party: So It Begins

Please Hold Magazine held a release party for the first issue, Winter 2014 So It Begins on Saturday, December 13, 2015 at Foam 6-9p CST. The event featured remarks by Editor-in-Chief Kristie Wickwire, poetry readings by Katie Kalahan, Hart L'Ecuyer, Lauren O'Donnell, and Catherine Leberg, and live music by Zak Marmalefsky.

Film Festival: Somebody's Reality

Please Hold Magazine held a short film showcase that took place in Bar Italia's event space "Luna" in the Central West End in St. Louis, Missouri on August 30, 2014. Bar Italia provided free bruschetta, while Bazaarboy provided drink tickets to everyone who came. The first 20 guests who arrived received a wristband made of vintage film. Everyone received a program printed by local print shop Ink Spot.
